Who We Are

Merck Foundation, established in 2017, is the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA, Germany that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people and advance their lives through Science and Technology.

Our efforts are primarily focused on improving access to quality and equitable healthcare solutions, building healthcare, scientific research & media capacity, breaking infertility stigma and supporting girls' education.

Merck Foundation Strives to

work closely with partners that are First Ladies of Africa, Ministries of Health, Education,Information & Communication, Gender, Academia, Research Institutions, Media and Art in building healthcare capacity and addressing health, social & economic challenges in developing countries and under-served communities.

Merck Foundation has been recognized as the NGO of the Year 2022, the Most Influential NGO Shaping Africa’s Future.

Merck Foundation has also been awarded the Best Health Sector Philanthropy at 2023 Ghana Philanthropy Awards.
